A Georgia man is behind bars after police say he shot and killed two teens.
Around 1 p.m. April 3, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home in reference to two deceased people, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.
When they arrived, they discovered Destiney Hope Knight, 18, and Charles Jaylon Garrett, 18, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
On May 5, the bureau secured arrest warrants for Daniel Payton Brinson, 22, for two counts of malice murder in regards to the case. He was arrested that day.
Investigators have not released a motive for the alleged killing.
Brinson was arrested by the Marietta Police Department on multiple drug charges on April 26, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
He is currently in custody at the Cobb County Jail and being held without bond.
Friends of the victims started a GoFundMe page to raise money for the funeral expenses. The group hopes to raise $25,000.
"These beautiful souls were taken from all of us way too soon," the page reads.
