In Louisiana, a standoff ended with the arrest of a 66-year-old man and the seizure of a small alligator, according to police.
Around 9 a.m. on July 26, officers responded to a home in Baton Rouge for a report of a shooting, according to local police departments.
Once at the scene, officers spoke with a man who said someone fired a gun at him from inside the home, BRProud.com reported.
Court documents state the bullets went “through the wall where the victim was standing and barely missed him,” officials said.
Police confirmed the shots were fired from a .22 caliber rifle. The man was not hurt and called police.
A standoff ensued with the suspect, later identified as Rickey Miguez, inside the home, police said. During this time, officers learned there was an alligator inside the home.
