Softball coach in Alabama accused of sodomy, sexual abuse of team member, police say
A former coach for a youth softball league is accused of sexually abusing a member of her team, according to media reports.
Megan Billingsley Deese was arrested last week in connection to the case, according to Local 12.
Police in Hoover, Alabama, said a woman came forward on Feb. 12 and said she was the victim of unwanted sexual contact, according to the report. The victim said the abuse happened while she was a member of the team.
The abuse lasted for more than two years and ended in 2016, according to Local 12.
Deese was charged with sodomy, sexual abuse and enticing a child to enter a vehicle.
She was booked into jail and freed after posting $90,000 bond.
