Nebraska Man Allegedly Fatally Shot His Father During Argument, Police Say
A Nebraska man is accused of killing his father after they got into a dispute, authorities said.
The Morrill County Sheriff’s Office recently took Joseph Bennett, 29, into custody this week and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 57-year-old Rodney Bennett in Broadwater, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
But, police have released few details in the case. They have not said what led to the shooting or why they believe the son is the killer.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, the Hastings Tribune reported.
Autopsy results are pending.
First-degree murder is punishable by up to life in prison.
