Son accused of murdering his own mom in Virginia, but few details of the killing released

A son is accused of murdering his own mom in Richmond, Virginia, though police have released few details about the killing.
Just before 6:30 p.m. on April 21, police responded to the 3500 block of East Broad Rock Road to reports of a person down, according to WRIC.
At the scene, officers found Melissa Paige, 55, unresponsive with assault-related injuries. She died at the scene, according to WRIC.
The same night, her son, John Chillum, 26, was brought into custody. Police have not detailed why or how Chillum allegedly killed his own mother.
Chillum was charged with homicide. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death, officials noted.
