A South Carolina man has been arrested after allegedly pulling a girl from her bedroom window, locking her in a shed and sexually assaulting her nearly two years ago, police said.
On May 14, 2021, the victim was kidnapped from her home in Aiken County after the suspect, Thomas Taylor Chase, 18, threatened to “shoot up” her home if she did not go with him, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
Chase allegedly grabbed the girl and pulled her through an open window in her bedroom and took her to another location where he locked her up in a storage shed.
According to police, while trapped in the shed, the victim said Chase offered her unspecified drugs, which she refused to take, and he allegedly punched her in the legs twice.
Chase did not provide the girl with any food or water nor did he ever leave her unattended, officials said.
On the afternoon of May 15, 2021, Chase finally left the victim alone in the shed and she was able to sneak out and return home.
