Dispute About Former President Donald Trump Led To Fatal Stabbing In Florida: Cops
An argument between two Florida men over Donald Trump got heated and resulted in one getting stabbed near his heart, police said.
Around 7 p.m. on Oct. 22, Donald Jamesbrown Henry, 36, and Shawn Popp allegedly were smoking marijuana at an Arcadia home and got into a dispute about the former president of the United States, a witness told officers, according to a report obtained by WBBH-TV.
No further details on the alleged dispute were released.
Henry allegedly stabbed Popp and the witness attempted to help the victim, who fell to the ground outside Henry’s residence and died from his injury, the report states.
The witness was hit in the face after taking Henry’s keys in an attempt to stop him from leaving the scene, authorities said.
Responding deputies from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Henry and booked him into the DeSoto County jail on one count of second-degree murder.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 28.
