Colorado Suspect Accused of Fatally Stabbing Man In Chest Arrested, Police Say
A Colorado suspect was taken into custody on multiple charges in connection to the stabbing death of a man, authorities said.
Dustin Mitchell, 33, currently faces counts of first-degree murder, burglary, menacing, domestic violence, assault, and violation of a protection order, KRDO reported.
Shortly before 2 a.m. on June 24, Canon City police officers responding to the report of a stabbing found a 21-year-old man with knife wounds to his chest.
The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police identified Mitchell as a suspect in the murder but have not released further details about a possible motive in the case, according to KRDO.
He was being held without bond at the Fremont County jail.
