71-year-old woman stabbed outside Virginia Walgreens, suspect arrested
A woman was charged in connection to the fatal stabbing of a 71-year-old woman at a Virginia Walgreens, police said.
Around 6 p.m. Nov. 12, police in Williamsburg, Virginia, responded to the store and found the victim with stab wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Witnesses said the victim and LaTeisha Meekins, 35, met outside the store and spoke for a few minutes before the stabbing, according to Williamsburg police. Investigators say the motive for the alleged attack remains unclear.
Meekins was arrested hours after the attack and was charged with second-degree murder. She is being held in jail without bond.
The victim’s name has not been released.
