Elementary School Substitute Teacher In California Accused Of Molesting Four Girls, Police Say
A substitute teacher at an elementary school in California was arrested on suspicion of child molestation after an investigation, authorities said.
In early May, the Santa Ana Police Department launched the investigation and allegedly determined Peter Morales, 69, sexually molested four female students, officials said, KABC reported.
The alleged incidents occurred at Adams Elementary School in Morales’s classroom and involve children ages 8 and 9, who alerted school officials, according to the station.
“Each victim was molested individually and at different times throughout the day,” police said.
Morales was released from custody after he posted $100,000 bail.
According to police, prior to becoming a substitute teacher, the accused molester worked for 18 years as a teacher for the Santa Ana school district.
Law enforcement officials said the investigation is ongoing and there may be other victims.
