Suspect Taken Into Custody In Connection With Double Homicide At Miami Apartment
A suspect was arrested in connection with the double homicide of two men in a Miami-Dade apartment earlier this month, authorities announced.
Authorities in St. Lucie County arrested Kenrron Rashad McCarthy, 23, and he was being held without bond awaiting extradition to Miami-Dade County to face murder charges, police said on Oct. 24, WFOR-TV reported.
Almost three weeks earlier, on Oct. 5, a friend of Mark Cine and Eric Watters, both 25,went to the apartment the two men shared and discovered their bodies.
According to police, the victims were both shot to death.
Cine and Watters’ neighbors told WFOR-TV the pair only lived in the apartment complex for a short time, and one man recalled hearing gunshots days before the bodies were found.
“Bang, bang, bang, bang, it was like fireworks," Maurice Rips said of hearing what he believed were the gunshots that killed the victims.
Police have not disclosed a possible motive for the slayings or if the men knew each other.
