Police in Texas spotted a man looking into vehicles, but they were shocked when he then led officers to a grisly scene at a home just a few blocks away, according to authorities.

On Oct. 13, officers in San Antonio responded to a call about a suspicious person looking inside parked vehicles, KENS reported.

When the officers encountered the suspect, later identified as 35-year-old Bradley Adam Dimmick, he allegedly told police, “I just killed somebody,” according to KENS.

Dimmick provided police with an address blocks away, and when they arrived at the home, officers discovered blood and a dead dog inside the front door, officials said.

Officers also located a decapitated human body with a “large stomach wound” in the home's living room.

Authorities said the dog also had a large stomach wound and said “both of these wounds had intestines extruding from their bodies."

Investigators followed a trail of blood throug the house to the bathroom, where the victim’s head was in the bathtub, officials said.

The victim was identified as 65-year-old Keith Dimmick, but investigators didn’t say how he and Bradley Dimmick were related. However, posts from family members on Facebook indicate the victim was Bradley’s father, KENS reported.
