‘Distraught’ West Virginia Suspect Upset About Incident With Her Boyfriend Fatally Shoots Woman, Police Say
A West Virginia woman distraught about an issue with her boyfriend is accused of fatally shooting another woman, authorities said.
On Aug. 8, Angelina Dotson was sitting in her vehicle in the driveway of a home in Panther “crying and distraught due to a prior incident with her boyfriend,” WVVA reported, citing a criminal complaint.
Jeaninine Justice came out of the house and went out to check on Dotson, who was armed with a handgun and fired four shots from her window..
Justice was struck in the abdomen and later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Two witnesses at the residence at the time of the incident fled the scene, WVNS reported
Dotson was arrested and faces charges of second-degree murder and wanton endangerment, police said. She is being held without bond in a West Virginia jail.
Authorities have not revealed a possible motive for the crime.
The investigation is ongoing.
