Suspected Drunk Driver Arrested After She Ran Into Multiple Children in Connecticut: Police

A Connecticut woman has been arrested after she ran her vehicle into a small group of pedestrians, including multiple children, while allegedly driving while intoxicated, according to authorities.
Around 7:50 p.m. on Aug. 27, police received multiple 911 calls regarding an accident that involved a group of pedestrians in Bridgeport, the Hartford Courant reported.
The group of pedestrians included about five children and multiple adults, police said.
According to authorities, some of the victims were treated at the scene, while others were transported to a nearby hospital.
Police said none of the reported injuries were considered life-threatening.

The Bridgeport Police Department announced that 31-year-old Crystal Dejesus was arrested and is facing a slew of charges, including a DUI, seven counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, four counts of risk of injury to a minor, operating without insurance, reckless driving, failure to drive in proper lane, operating without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and falsifying vehicle registration.
Dejesus was booked into jail and is being held on a $42,000 bond, officials said.
