A 13-year-old has been charged with the murder of a 69-year-old woman earlier this month, though prosecutors have not decided whether to charge the teen as an adult.
The suspect's name has not been released as he has not been charged as an adult, according to WISH.
Just before 5 a.m. on Oct. 10, a woman was fatally shot at a house in the 1200 block of Windsor Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to WISH.
Neighbors told WISH they believe the shooting happened during an attempted burglary when the victim startled the intruders, but police have not confirmed that detail.
Police said the woman, identified as Antonia Reiner, died about two hours after arriving at the hospital, WISH reported. Neighbors knew Reiner as a volunteer for projects in the area and as a mother and grandmother, according to WISH.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Chris Craighill at (317) 327-3475 or e-mail Chris.Craighill@Indy.gov.
