One teen is dead and another faces a murder charge after a drug-related robbery turned deadly, police said.
This week, the Metro Nashville Police Department in Tennessee announced the arrest of 15-year-old Zachhaeus Johnson. He was charged in juvenile court with criminal homicide.
Around 5:50 p.m. on Aug. 28, police responded to a shooting in a parking lot on South 5th Street at a public housing development. There, officers found 16-year-old Antonio Baker Jr. with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died, police said.
Johnson was the suspect and fled the scene, police said. He was later arrested in Clarksville, Tennessee. Authorities believed a drug-related robbery was the possible motive in the shooting.
Investigators are working to determine if others were present at the time of the shooting.
