16-year-old boy shot and killed in Alabama, suspect arrested while police search for others

A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in Alabama this week and police have arrested a suspect in the case.
Authorities announced the arrest of 18-year-old Ladamien Rogers-Wallace in connection to the shooting death of 16-year-old David Martin Jr., AL.com reported.
Around 3 p.m. on Jan. 17, police responded to the Valley Hills public housing community in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a report of a person shot, according to AL.com.
When officers arrived, they found Martin in a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, AL.com reported.
He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, according to AL.com.
Investigators worked overnight, developing several possible suspects, which led to the arrest of Rogers-Wallace, AL.com reported.
Rogers-Wallace has been charged with capital murder and is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, according to AL.com. Police did not say if the suspect knew the victim. They also didn't detail a possible motive in the case.
Police are still searching for several persons of interest, AL.com reported.
