A 20-year-old Pennsylvania man was shot to death and now police say a 16-year-old will face charges as an adult in connection to the shooting.
Around 9 p.m. on Oct. 7, the Swatara Township Police Department said officers were dispatched to a residence in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for a reported shooting.
Once at the scene, police found one deceased man in the parking lot. The victim was later identified as 20-year-old Keshawn Maurice Carter.
According to witnesses, they heard gunshots and saw some suspects run away from the scene while others left the scene in a vehicle.
Officials quickly contained the area and a search ensued, but the suspects were not located, police said.
After detectives talked to many witnesses and received many tips, they announced on Oct. 13 that 16-year-old Steven Roman was arrested. Investigators have not released details about what led to the shooting.
Police said Roman will be charged as an adult with murder and other related charges.
He was booked into jail awaiting a preliminary arraignment, but police said this is an active investigation and more charges could be filed.
