Two Texas Suspects Accused Of Murdering Teenager While Engaged In ‘Possible High-Risk Activity,’ Police Say
Two suspects were arrested in connection with the death of a teenager in Texas who was shot after a disturbance escalated into violence, authorities said.
The United States Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force took Jesse Fulce, 17, and Nathan Oviedo, 20, into custody on capital murder charges in Waxahachie, WFAA reported.
According to the Grand Prairie Police Department, around 4:15 a.m. on Nov. 28, officers responded to a shooting report and found Demarcus Harrell, 17, suffering a gunshot wound.
Harrell was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died.
Police said the victim and the two suspects all knew each other and were allegedly engaged in “possible high-risk activity” when they got into a disturbance and Harrell was shot.
After their arrests, Fulce and Oviedo were booked into the Grand Prairie Detention Center on $1 million bonds each.
The investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing.
