Tennessee man beat his girlfriend to death in the shower, charged with murder: police

A man in Tennessee has been accused of being his girlfriend to death while she was in the shower, according to a report.
Around 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 30, Knox County Sheriff’s Officials responded to the 6900 block of Wilson Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee, for a report of a woman unconscious on the bathroom floor, CBS 8 reported.
Officials found the woman unresponsive, suffering from numerous bruises and lacerations on her head, neck, torso, arms and both legs, according to CBS 8.
She was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, CBS 8 reported.
Charles Raymond Locke Jr., 48, was arrested and interviewed by investigators, according to CBS 8.
He said he and the victim were in a relationship for four years, CBS 8 reported.
The couple had been arguing, which resulted in a fight that ended in the bathroom, according to CBS 8. Locke Jr. allegedly told deputies that he threw several bottled products at the victim while she was in the shower, then dragged her out by her arms, legs and hair.
When she was on the ground, he allegedly proceeded to hit the woman in the head, face and neck, which caused significant bruising, bleeding, lacerations and abrasions, according to CBS 8.
Locke Jr. has been charged with second-degree murder, according to CBS 8.
