South Carolina Man Allegedly Shot To Death Woman Staying In Tennessee Cabin, Sheriff Says
A man from South Carolina was arrested last week on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found in a Tennessee rental cabin.
According to Sheriff Ronald “Hoss” Seals, investigators believe the victim, who was also from South Carolina and had been staying at the Sevier County property, was shot to death around 1 p.m. on May 7, WATE reported.
Officers responding to a 911 call arrived on the scene and identified 21-year-old Julian A. Popoca as a suspect in the case.
Popoca, who was also lodging at the cabin, was taken into custody on second-degree murder charge.
Police have not publicly identified the shooting victim pending notification of kin.
