Innocent 4-Year-Old Child Fatally Shot While In Booster Seat, Now The Suspect Faces First-Degree Murder Charges

A man allegedly shot a 4-year-old to death while the child was in a booster seat in a car. Now, he has been indicted on a murder charge.
Recently, the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office in Tennessee announced that Terrell J. Woods, 32, was indicted on counts of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
He was released from jail after posting $500,000 bond.

On April 3, 2021, the boy’s father was driving up to a home to drop off a friend, prosecutors said.
Woods walked up to the vehicle and started arguing with the friend, shouting, “ya’ll been hating on me!” prosecutors noted.
Woods then took out a gun and started shooting into the van, according to prosecutors. One of the bullets hit Travius Taylor Jr. in the chest.
The child was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
