A Tennessee woman has been accused of killing her ex-husband after an argument broke out between the couple about a movie, authorities said.
Around 7 p.m. on Dec. 5, officers responded to a report in Memphis of a domestic incident, according to the Memphis Police Department.
Inside the home, police found a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds, officials said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers took into custody a female, identified as 49-year-old Tasha Williams, at the scene, according to an affidavit obtained by WATN-TV.
Williams reportedly told police that she and her ex-husband, Michael Williams, were drinking when they got into an argument, according to the affidavit.
Michael allegedly wanted to go to another location to watch a movie, but Tasha refused to take him. The victim reportedly knocked Tasha’s glasses, causing a cut near her eye, officials said.
Tasha was reportedly cleaning the area around her eye and the victim attempted to help, which upset Tashathe affidavit stated.
As a result, she allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife, and stabbed her ex-husband in the chest, according to the document.
