A man has been arrested after he allegedly murdered a person staying in a house that was being remodeled.
Anthony Eugene Summers, 53, was arrested for the "brutal" fatal stabbing of an acquaintance, Daniel Baynes, 58, inside a home that was being remodeled in Old Hickory, Tennessee, according to Metro Nashville police.
A construction contractor found Baynes dead inside the home around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, according to police.
Officers were told Baynes was assisting with the remodel and was being allowed to stay on the property.
Baynes was found with multiple stab wounds, including to his face and abdomen, cops say. Baynes’ pickup truck, a 2010 red Ford F-150, was missing from the residence, police noted.
