Man dies within minutes of taking heroin, drug supplier accused of murder
A Tennessee woman was charged with murder after a fatal overdose, police said.
Andrea Dawn Fann, 38, was charged with second-degree murder in connection to the incident, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee announced.
In July 2021, Robert Mitchell McCord, 46, died in his home in Primm Springs, Tennessee, minutes after taking heroin, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators say Fann supplied the drug that was laced with fentanyl.
Fentanyl is an opioid that is often mixed with other drugs to enhance the effects. But a small amount can be deadly for some.
Fann was arrested after she was indicted by a grand jury this month. She was booked into the Williams County jail and is being held on $50,000 bond.
