Tennessee Man Accused of DUI After Crashing Car With Kids, Over 20 Grams of Cocaine Onboard: Arrest Affidavit

A Tennessee man has been arrested after he was allegedly intoxicated when he crashed his vehicle with two young children inside, according to authorities.
On Feb. 2, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in Nashville, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by WSMV.
At the scene, the affidavit states, officers allegedly could smell alcohol on the driver, 37-year-old Cody Wayne Stubblefield.
Stubblefield was detained under the suspicion of DUI, according to the affidavit.
Two children, ages 10 and 5, were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Officers found a glass pipe, more than 20 grams of cocaine, several cans of Miller Lite inside a cooler within reach of Stubblefield and a Ruger handgun, officials claimed.
Police conducted a field sobriety test on Stubblefield, which he failed, according to the affidavit.

Stubblefield, who allegedly has a prior conviction for DUI, was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant, drug charges and possessing a weapon while intoxicated, authorities said.
It's unclear if the children were suffered any injuries in the crash.
