Suspect in jail for 2015 homicide is now accused of 2021 fatal shooting, authorities say
A man in jail awaiting trial in connection to a 2015 homicide is now being accused of a 2021 killing.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced this week that Michael Hobson was charged in connection to the killing of Lacord Anderson. The killing happened in 2015 in Somerville, Tennessee.
Hobson was indicted on a count of first-degree murder in that case.
The suspect was already in jail after a December arrest for a 2015 homicide, according to the Bureau.
In that case, a witness called 911 after seeing a person lying in a field, according to the Bureau. The field was off — coincidently, Somerville Road — in Hickory Valley, Tennessee. The victim was identified as Guy Williamson and he had a gunshot wound.
Investigators have not released a motive in either case.
Hobson is being held in jail on $1 million bond.
