A Tennessee man was arrested after an argument over a vegan burger at a Knoxville restaurant.
The manager of the Sunspot Restaurant reportedly asked Knoxville police to remove an allegedly unruly man from the restaurant.
A customer reportedly got hot under the collar while questioning whether his vegan burger was actually vegan. A witness claimed the man asked the staff to "take the burger to the hospital to have it tested," according to WATE 6 News.
Officers reportedly spoke with Larry Beal, who police said was in possession of a gun and a digital scale with marijuana residue.
Knoxville Police said the 20-year-old Powell man was charged with criminal trespassing, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
There was no word from police if they checked to see if the burger was actually vegan.
