Gunfire erupted at a Tennesee waterpark, leaving one person dead and two suspects facing charges, police said.
On July 31, police responded to Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Sevierville, Tennessee for a report of shots fired.
When they arrived, officers found two female shooting victims at the waterpark parking area, according to police.
Kelsy Cook, 24, was airlifted to the hospital, where she later died. Angie Russell, 23, was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police believe an altercation occurred in the waterpark parking lot, which escalated into the shooting.
Witnesses told police that possible suspects were leaving the parking lot in a vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and two people inside were ultimately arrested.
Sarah Romine, 31, has been charged with second-degree murder and multiple counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
Police believe Romine shot both victims.
Joshua Dannels, 30, was charged with possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Both Romine and Dannels were transported to the Sevier County Jail for booking.
