A Tennessee woman was taken into custody for reportedly urinating on the burial site of her soon-to-be former husband's father, according to authorities.

On April 8, a mutual friend of Alexis Jackson and her estranged husband told police she was driving Jackson to her new boyfriend’s home in Hendersonville when they stopped at a market, WCIV reported.

At the market, the friend went inside to use the bathroom and when she returned to the vehicle, she noticed Jackson holding a flower vase, officials said.

She asked Jackson about the vase and she allegedly said she took the vase and urinated on her soon-to-be ex-husband’s father’s gravestone out of retaliation because she thought he had vandalized her father’s gravestone in an unrelated incident, WCIV reported.

The mutual friend then dropped Jackson off at her new boyfriend’s home, officials said. The friend then told the ex-husband about the incident and he called the police to file a report. The vase, which Jackson left in the friend's car, was eventually returned to him, court documents state.

According to police, Jackson was charged with desecration of a place of worship or burial and bond was set at $3,000. She is scheduled to appear in court again on June 2.
