TEXAS CAR CHASE TURNS DEADLY, 19-YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER, AUTHORITIES SAID

An car chase with Bexar County Sheriff deputies in Texas ended with one person dead and one person in custody, according to authorities.
Police say one of their deputies spotted a gray Ford Focus driving recklessly in northeast Bexar County, Texas after 1 a.m. Sunday.
The driver of the Ford Focus was Esteban Zamarripa III, 19, according to police. He hit several curbs and refused to stop for police, which is what started the chase, as reported by KSAT.
Authorities stated the car was passing through traffic lights and even began to drive in the wrong direction on the road.
As the Focus continued to travel in the wrong direction, it crashed into a tractor-trailer and Toyota Camry at an intersection, according to authorities.
Police said the driver of the truck was taken to the hosptial and in good condition over the weekend. However, deputies said the driver of the Camry died at the scene of the accident.
That victim's name has not been released by authorities.
Police then took the driver of the Focus, Zamarripa, into custody at the scene of the accident, according to authorities. Zamarripa is facing a murder charge and evading vehicle charges, which are both felonies.
He is being held in a local jail.
