A Witness Tried To Leave WIth A Child For Treatment Of Alleged Abuse. That Is When The Mom Rammed Their Car.
A woman drove her car into a victim who was trying to take her child for treatment of alleged abuse, according to police.
This week, police in Texarkana, Texas, responded to a reported crash at an apartment complex.
When officers arrived, they found the crash was not an accident, according to police. A witness said they were trying to leave in a car with a 5-month-old boy to take him to the hospital as he was injured.
But, Charquevya Kirkendall, 22, allegedly rammed their vehicle with her car to try to stop them from leaving with her child, police noted.
The child’s injuries were from suspected abuse, according to police. The child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening. The witness was also taken to the hospital and later released.
Kirkendall was arrested on charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault, according to police. She was then booked into jail.
