A woman faces capital murder charges in connection to a decades-old double murder in Texas, authorities said.
This week, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced Shelley Susan Thompson-Lemoine, 41, was arrested at her parole office in Texas.
She was charged in connection to the deaths of Antonio and Luz Rodriguez in 2005. The couple was found dead in the home they shared in Cleveland, Texas, according to authorities. They were found murdered by their daughter.
Police investigation, but the case went cold.
That was until early 2021 when DNA was collected from Thompson-Lemoine as she booked in to prison on unrelated charges. That DNA matched from crime scene evidence, and she was arrested.
Police have not released a motive in the killing.
