Two women could soon be doing hard (boiled) time.
A pair in Texas face charges after police say they assaulted an employee at a Denny’s diner.
Shortly after midnight on July 17, Brownsville police responded to a report of a fight at the Denny’s along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Police say two women assaulted an employee of the diner, though the agency did not specify what led to the fight.
Brittany Nicole Gaytan, 23, and Dominque Gaytan, 24, were both charged with assault. Brittany Gaytan was also charged with criminal mischief. There is no word on the extent of the injuries for the employee.
“In Brownsville we like to take pride in our community and we pride ourselves with knowing we have friendly citizens. Assaulting our citizens and staff members in Brownsville Businesses will not be tolerated,” Brownsville police said in a statement.
The alleged assault remains under investigation and police say there could be more arrests.
