Woman Walked Straight Up To Casket At Funeral Home And Spit On Corpse, Police Say

A woman is accused of spitting on a corpse at a Texas funeral home, and now she faces a criminal charge.
Recently, Laurie Lynn Hinds, 51, was arrested in Tyler, Texas. Police said she was charged with felony abuse of a corpse and released from jail after posting $2,500 bond, according to KLTV.
Investigators said on Nov. 29, Hinds walked into a Tyler funeral home, according to the report. She went directly towards a casket and spit on the corpse.

Witnesses said Hinds had animosity toward the family of the person in the casket, according to KLTV.
But police have not detailed what led to the beef between the families.
Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Hinds on June 4, and she was arrested the next day.
