The suspect, 38-year-old Charles Turner, also received stab-related injuries during the incident and was taken to a Dallas-area hospital for treatment, officials said. He was one of the houseguests at the victim's home.
Turner has been released from the hospital and was booked into the Kaufman County Jail. He was charged with murder in connection to the fatal stabbing, authorities said.
