Stephanie Tuell was arrested in Odessa, Texas, in connection to a homicide on June 18, according to THV11.
Around 6:20 p.m., police responded to a home and found 58-year-old Joe Abril with a gunshot wound, according to the report. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Tuell, the victim’s wife, was arrested soon after the killing.
Police said they found Tuell in the front yard and the victim had gunshot wounds to the chest and the back of his head, the report noted.
Tuell could be heard saying, “I wish I was sorry, but I’m not.” She also told police, “No one messes with my kids.”
Police charged her with first-degree murder, and she was booked in to a Texas jail.
