The next day, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Gabriel Ramirez in connection to the first woman's death. When officers went to investigate a death at the 500 block of Gregory, they found a man, later identified as Ramirez, bleeding heavily in a person's front yard.
Officers took Ramirez, who had cuts on his neck and wrists, to the hospital. As officers continued to investigate, they found that Ramirez had stolen the woman's car on Truman Street on Christmas Day.
Police then found Rosales' body inside the car.
On New Year's Even, Ramirez got out of the hospital and was taken to the El Paso County Detention Center, where he is charged with capital murder while being held on $1.5 million bon, according to KFOX 14.
