Texas man shot at vehicle twice in drive-by shooting, killing the driver, cops say

A Texas man has been arrested after he allegedly shot and killed a man in a drive-by shooting, police said.
Around 8:30 p.m. Jan. 8, the Allen Police Department received a 911 call with reports of gunshots in the 500 block of East Bethany Drive in Allen, Texas.
Responding officers found a vehicle with a dead 32-year-old man in the driver’s seat, according to Allen police.
The investigation revealed a passing vehicle shot twice at the victim’s car, striking it both times. One bullet struck the driver and he died at the scene, cops say.
A passenger in the vehicle was not struck, got out of the vehicle and called 911, according to Allen police.
Ryan Thompson, 26, was located by police, He tried to run but was arrested, police said
Thompson was charged with murder and evading officers on foot. He is currently being held at the Collin County Detention Center. His bail was set at $100,000.
Thompson and the victim knew each other, but a motive for the shooting has not been determined at this time, according to police.
