A man in Texas is accused of stabbing his girlfriend and then rolling her in plastic and leaving her in a pasture to die.
Around 4 p.m. on Dec. 1, deputies responded to a report of an injured woman in Poteet, according to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies located the wounded female victim, who authorities said had been “beaten, stabbed and had her throat slashed."
Atascosa County Sheriff David Soward noted the victim was rolled up in plastic and "left for dead" in the pasture.
She was transported to a San Antonio hospital, where she was listed in critical but stable condition.
Investigators believe 31-year-old Roger Gonzalez attacked the woman, who he was in a relationship with.
On Dec. 2, deputies arrested Gonzalez on a warrant at his home in San Antonio, officials said.
