Woman accused of gunning down her 82-year-old husband in Texas

An 82-year-old man was shot and killed in Texas and now his wife is being accused of his murder.

On Sept. 4, deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office in Texas announced the arrest of Dena Katharine Harris Storch. She is accused of killing Lothar Storch on Sept. 1.

She was charged with murder and deputies said she confessed to the crime.

Deputies responded to a home in the Tilmon, Texas, area on Sept. 1 for a report of a dead man, according to the sheriff’s office. When they arrived, deputies found Lothar Storch dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

There is no evidence of other people being involved in the crime, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators have not said what led to the shooting or a possible motive in the case.
