Texas Man Arrested In Connection With Uber Driver Shot Dead Inside His Vehicle
A San Antonio man is accused of climbing inside an Uber vehicle and then shooting and murdering the driver.
Police said Dominique Croom, 30, shot Robert Diaz, 37, several times around 8 p.m. on March 9 in northeast San Antonio and fled the scene.
Diaz died at a hospital.
KSAT-TV reports witness reports and video evidence led officers to Croom, who was arrested Thursday. One witness claimed the Uber vehicle drove over a sidewalk and stopped in a wooded field.
Croom now is charged with murder and criminal trespass. The San Antonio Express-News reported he's held on $200,000 bond.
It's not clear if Croom and Diaz knew each other.
