Teenager beats his uncle to death outside Texas nightclub, authorities say
A teenager is accused of fatally assaulting his uncle in a fight outside a Texas nightclub after an evening out, authorities said.
Employees at the club, Heart, told police that on July 17, Camron Arquon Ellis, 18, and 51-year-old James Glover were at the Houston establishment together before leaving around 2:20 a.m., KTRK-TV reported.
Around 20 minutes later, surveillance video obtained by the station allegedly shows Glover pulling the teenager from an Uber and hitting him over the head with an object.
Ellis managed to get control over Glover and allegedly proceeded to knock him to the ground and hit his head with a bottle, a closed fist and his foot.
“The victim had suffered apparent head trauma and was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later,” officials said.
Ellis now faces a murder charge.
Ellis was serving as the caregiver of his elder relative, a veteran who allegedly suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and alcoholism, reported KTRK-TV, citing court documents.
