Texas woman evades police on tractor after crashing 4th of July parade procession
A Texas woman took her Fourth of July celebrations too far and ended up behind bars after she crashed a local parade — on her tractor.
Around 11:30 a.m. July 3, Rockwall police were called to the parade staging area near a middle school. Responding officers said they found Laurie Bostic, 61, causing a disturbance after she refused to cooperate with officials who said she could not take part in the parade procession, Dallas’ KDFW reported.
A video posted on the social media site TikTok shows Bostic slowly driving the truck towards the parade root as officers on foot try to stop her. They are then unable to stop her.
The next part of the footage shows a crashed tractor and Bostic being put in handcuffs.
Police said Bostic refused orders to pull over and she was driving her tractor erratically. “Officers were able to force her from the road, where she ran into a fence, disabling her tractor,” police said in a statement.
The parade crasher was booked into the Rockwall County Jail f0, interference with a processional, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.
