An innocent 21-year-old woman was shot and killed during a Texas road rage incident, and police say the killer is now behind bars.
Last week, police in Carrolltown, Texas, said Shardel Webb was charged in connection to the case.
Around 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 29, officers responded to a report of a woman shot, according to police. When they arrived, officers found 21-year-old Aurimar Iturriago injured. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was in the backseat of a Nissan that got into a traffic dispute with the people in a Volkswagen, police said. There was no word on what the dispute was over.
Investigators said Webb was in the Volkswagen and fired shots at the other car, killing the victim, police said. There were no other injuries.
Webb was charged with murder and is being held in a Texas jail on $300,000 bond.
