'I’m the bad guy': Man Admits To Shooting, Killing Girlfriend During Argument, Report Says

A man who allegedly just killed his girlfriend told police when they arrived on the scene that “she was on the flood dead,” according to reports.
This week, police in Temple, Texas, announced the arrest of Tommy Lee Shelton. He is accused of killing his 47-year-old girlfriend Erin Gilligan after an argument on June 1, according to KWTX.
Investigators said police arrived at a home around 8 p.m. for the reported shooting. There, they found Gilligan dead from a gunshot wound.

Shelton’s son in Hawaii called the police to say that his dad reported shooting his girlfriend and threatened to harm himself, according to KWTX.
When police arrived, they found Shelton on the steps of the house, according to the report. He told police that Gilligan was “on the floor dead.”
He then added, “I’m the bad guy,” according to KWTX.
The shooting happened after an argument about Shelton sending money to his daughter, KWTX reported. Shelton now faces a charge of murder and is being held in a Texas jail.
