Victim was getting ice from a machine at a shopping center when hit by stray bullet: report
While getting ice from a machine at a shopping complex, a man was hit by a stray bullet. Now, police say they arrested one person in connection to the case.
Police In Texarkana, Texas, responded to the Oaklawn Village Shopping Center around 6 p.m. on March 25 for the reported shooting.
The victim and his wife were getting ice at a self-serve machine, when they heard gunshots. The man was hit one time in the chest by a bullet, according to Texarkana police. The bullet came from a gunfight between two people about 50 yards away and across the parking lot, police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was in stable condition, according to police.
Police identified Latavion Larry, 21, as one of the suspects. He was arrested and charged with deadly conduct. He is being held in jail on $1 million bond.
