16-year-old Girl Shot To Death In Home, Man And Woman Arrested In Suspected Murder
A 16-year-old girl was shot to death in Texas and now two people face charges, authorities announced.
On March 27, deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Texas responded to a home for a possible murder. When they arrived, deputies found a teen who had suffered a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as Katelynn Nicole Stone, of Vidor, Texas, according to the sheriff’s office.

Police investigated and arrested Cody Arnold, 22, in connection to the case. He was charged with murder and his bond was set at $1 million. A few days later, police arrested Chelsea Ann-Marie Shipp, 24, at a home in Liberty Hill, Texas. She was also charged with murder.
Investigators have not released a possible motive in the shooting or how the suspect knew the victim.
Shipp is expected to be booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility later on March 31.
