3 women found shot to death in popular Texas tourist spot, family member accused of murder
Three women were murdered in a popular tourist spot in Texas and a 23-year-old relative has been charged in connection to their killings.
Yordi Barthelemy, 23, was charged with killing three family members in South Padre Island on Aug. 7, according to media reports.
South Padre Island police responded to a residence around 10 p.m. for a family disturbance, according to the reports. When officers arrived, they found three people dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The women were aged 46, 47 and 65 years old, according to the reports. The names have not been released.
Barthelemy fled the scene but later turned himself in to police.
He faces charges of capital murder and assault family violence. He is being held without bond on the murder charge.
Police have not said what led to the alleged shooting.
