A female teacher has been arrested after she allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student, police said.
On Aug. 16, detectives with the New Braunfels Police Department in Texas secured an arrest warrant for Emily Marie Anderson, 34, charging her with sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.
At the time of the alleged ongoing sexual relationship, Anderson was employed as a teacher at Canyon High School, and the victim attended the same school, according to police.
Police did not say if any of the encounters happened on school grounds.
Anderson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Comal County Jail. Bond was set at $50,000, and she was still in custody as of Aug. 17.
Detectives are currently investigating whether or not there are additional victims. Anyone who believes that they may be a victim is asked to contact the New Braunfels Police Department at (830) 221-4100.
